Nel cuore del mar Egeo…alla scoperta delle ISOLE SPORADI.
We will sail between the islands of Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonissos, Kira Panaya and Peristera, one of the wildest and most charming archipelagos in Greece; with the largest Maritime National Park in Europe. We open the sails, driven by the wind Meltemi that here blows more gently than in the southern Aegean islands.
This year we want to organize longer cruises, considering the beauty and the plenty of places to explore. The cruises will be 10 DAYS. 10 days of sea, nature, history, walking, good food and cheerful company… 10 days of real travel with Safira!
We open the sails every time the wind can "push" us, taking advantage of the unique sailing experience.

Il contributo associativo è “all inclusive” e comprende:
skipper/formatori, hostess, cambusa (colazioni, pranzi, cene ed aperitivi), porti, carburante, SUP, tender con fuoribordo, lenzuola, telo mare, maschere e pinne, assicurazione e quota associativa.

The skippers are also national sailing instructors AICS, as well as boat owners. This will enable you to find that little additional quality in all aspects.
The association with Safira Sailing a.s.d. is needed to participate in our cruises.
Extra expenses during the holiday:
The registration fee includes all items except the costs to and from the port of embarkation and any meals not taken on board.
How to reach us?
The port of departure is Skiathos. The airport of Skiathos is located a couple of kilometres northeast of the capital. It’s connected to major European cities with flights operated by Ryanair, Wizzair, easyjet. Alternatively, you can find routes with stops in Athens.
Tour program
1° DAY
Approximately 8 nautical miles: We will wait for you at the port of SKIATHOS from 14:00 for the boarding procedures and the briefing on board safety regulations. After cabin accommodation, we are ready to set sail! We will swim in the crystal clear sea of one of the many bays in the south of Skiathos such as Ormos Siferi, Tzanaria or Ormos Platanìa. We will have dinner on board with one of our gourmet menus and we will spend the first night under a sky of stars.
2° DAY
Approximately 18 nautical miles: Embraced by the sun, we prepare the cockpit table and begin the day with a hearty breakfast. With fins and masks, we will explore the bay's underwater beauty. We go back on board, we open the sails and we sail more to the east, passing between the islets of Arkos and Tsoungria towards the bay of LIMONARI, in the wonderful island of SKOPELOS. After snorkelling in its crystal clear waters, we prepare to watch the sunset by making an aperitif and preparing a succulent dinner on board.
3° DAY
Approximately 16 nautical miles: After a hearthy breakfast, we raise anchor and open the sails in a north/west direction, crossing the channel that separates the island of Skopelos from ALONISSOS until the beautiful bay of MOURTIA. We can enjoy its crystal clear waters, and we can also walk in a green and beautiful path and reach the ancient village of CHORA.. The ancient center of the island, with white streets and suggestive bougainvillaea on the walls of the houses, was rebuilt after the earthquake of 1965, rises again in great beauty. We simply have to choose from which terrace drinking a good aperitif while enjoying a breathtaking view of the island. Returning on board, we prepare dinner and spend another night lulled by the waves.
4° DAY
Approximately 16 nautical miles: Waking up in the harbour gives you the privileged dilemma of choosing whether to dive and then have breakfast or vice versa. Satisfied with the sea and sun, we reopen the sails and direct the bow to the north/west, going up the wonderful coast of Alonissos up to the small village of STENI VALA. The characteristic Greek "tavern" that serves savory fish dishes with its tables on the sea, will be a temptation that is hard to resist.
5° DAY
Approximately 18 nautical miles: After a rich breakfast we can not miss the opportunity to visit the ASSISTANCE CENTER OF THE MEDITERRANEAN MONK SEAL. The Center is specialized in the reception of newborn seals and is considered the "home" of orphaned puppies. Returning to the boat, we reopen the sails and go to the island of KIRA PANAYA. The wild and wonderful island is located in the heart of the Sporades Islands National Marine Park,. surrounded by a green oasis of mastic, oaks and orchards. It belongs to the Monastic Republic of Mount Athos. In fact, a post-Byzantine monastery has been recently restored, where two monks (the only inhabitants of the island) live, producing and selling wine and oil.
6° DAY
Approximately 16 nautical miles: It is lucky to wake up surrounded by nature and away from civilization. We sail and open mainsail and genoa to reach the island of PERISTERA. We will have plenty of choices in which of its beautiful bays anchor. Ormos Vasilikò, Klima or the bay of Peristera itself are the paradise of the monk seal (which reproduces in these waters) and of the kri kri goats.
7° DAY
Approximately 16 nautical miles: We will sail and reach the characteristic village of Skopelos, the main port of the homonymous island. A town with white houses and red roofs, Skopelos extends around the medieval castle with its breathtaking views of the Aegean sea. The village has everything you need for a relaxing stop, from taverns where you can enjoy typical dishes, to small cafes, to craft shops and delicious pastries. Walking through the streets (strictly nameless) you can reach the church of S. María del Castello, where 70 steps separate you from a breathtaking view of the sea. For the fans of the Mamma Mia movie, it is possible to organize a visit to the charming church of Agios Ioannis Kastri which stands on a high rock surrounded by the sea, that was set of the famous musical with Marily Streep
8° DAY
Approximately 13 nautical miles: Set sails and circumnavigate the island of Skopelos to reach the bay of STAFILOS where can diving and snorkelling. There is also a path along the coast that in a few minutes leads to the nearby beach of Velanio. Good food, good wine and a starry sky will be with us again on this umpteenth night at anchor.
9° DAY
Approximately 12 nautical miles: After breakfast, we open the sails and continue the circumnavigation of Skopelos to reach the bay of PANORMOU. Wearing masks and fins we get ready for snorkelling among the fish that glow on the light sand bottom. We will enjoy the colours of sunsets in the cockpit while drinking an aperitif and organizing a barbecue at the beach.
10 DAY
Approximately 12 nautical miles: After breakfast, it’s time to make the last dives in these beautiful waters. We are on our way to Skiathos where we hope to arrive at the end of the morning. We will already miss the sun and salt in our hair, memorable sunsets and the most beautiful bays of the Aegean. It is time to say hello and put in the baggage the memory of an unforgettable experience.

1
1° DAY
Circa 8 miglia nautiche: Per l'imbarco vi aspettiamo al porto di SKIATHOS nell’omonima isola a partire dalle ore 14:00 per completare le pratiche di imbarco ed effettuare il briefing sulle norme di sicurezza di bordo. Dopo esserci sistemati nelle cabine, si mollano finalmente gli ormeggi! Fare un bagno e nuotare nel mare cristallino di una delle tante baie a sud di Skiathos come Ormos Siferi, Tzanaria o magari Ormos Platanìa, sarà il nostro primo approccio a questa meravigliosa esperienza. Ceneremo a bordo con uno dei nostri menù gourmet e ci prepareremo a passare la prima notte sotto un firmamento di stelle.
2
2° DAY
Circa 18 miglia nautiche: Baciati dal sole prepariamo il tavolo del pozzetto e iniziamo la giornata con una ricca colazione. Messe pinne e maschera esploreremo la baia in tutte le sue bellezze sottomarine. Risaliamo a bordo, apriamo le vele e ci rimettiamo in navigazione dirigendoci a est, passando tra gli isolotti di Arkos e Tsoungria in direzione della baia di LIMONARI, nella meravigliosa isola di SKOPELOS. Dopo aver fatto snorkeling nelle sue acque cristalline ci prepariamo ad assistere al tramonto facendo aperitivo e preparandoci per una succulenta cena a bordo.
3
3° DAY
Circa 16 miglia nautiche: Dopo una ricca colazione e gli immancabili tuffi, togliamo gli ormeggi e apriamo le vele in direzione nord/ovest, attraversando il tratto di mare che separa l’isola di Skopelos da ALONISSOS fino ad approdare nella meravigliosa baia di MOURTIA. Potremo godere delle sue acque cristalline, ma al tempo stesso possiamo scendere a terra in tender e immergendoci in mezzo al verde, imboccare un bel sentiero che in mezz’ora conduce all’antico villaggio di CHORA. L’antico centro dell’isola, dopo il terremoto del 1965, è rinato in grande bellezza con vicoli candidi e suggestive cascate di bouganville sui muri delle case. A questo punto ci toccherà soltanto scegliere da quale terrazza gustare un buon aperitivo godendo di una gran vista sull’isola. Ritornati a bordo ci prepariamo alla cena e a passare un’altra notte cullati dalle onde.
4
4° DAY
Circa 16 miglia nautiche: Svegliarsi in rada regala il privilegiato dilemma di scegliere se tuffarsi e poi fare colazione o viceversa. Soddisfatti di mare e sole, riapriamo le vele e dirigiamo la prua a nord/ovest risalendo la meravigliosa costa di Alonissos fino ad approdare nel porto del piccolo ed accogliente paesino di STENI VALA. La caratteristica “taverna” greca che serve gustosi piatti a base di pesce ed i suoi tavolini sul mare, sarà una tentazione a cui è difficile resistere.

5° DAY
Circa 18 miglia nautiche: Dopo una ricca colazione non possiamo farci sfuggire l’occasione di visitare il CENTRO DI ASSISTENZA DELLA FOCA MONACA MEDITERRANEA. Il Centro è specializzato nell'accoglienza delle foche neonate ed è considerato la "casa", in senso letterale, dei cuccioli orfani. Ritornati in barca, togliamo gli ormeggi e riapriamo le vele e bolinando saliamo verso nord/est in direzione dell’isola di KIRA PANAYA. Selvaggia e meravigliosa, l’isola si trova nel cuore del Parco Marino Nazionale delle isole Sporadi, immersa in un oasi verde di lentisco, querce e frutteti. Appartiene alla Repubblica Monastica di Monte Athos. Infatti, è stato recentemente restaurato un monastero post bizantino, dove vivono due monaci (gli unici abitanti dell’isola) che producono e vendono vino e olio.

6° DAY
Circa 16 miglia nautiche: Svegliarsi circondati dalla natura e lontani dalla civilizzazione è una fortunata costante che ci accompagna anche in questa giornata. Salpiamo e aperte randa e genoa ci dirigiamo a sud/ovest in direzione di un’altra perla delle Sporadi, l’isola di PERISTERA. Avremo solo l’imbarazzo della scelta tra quali delle sue splendide baie gettare l’ancora. Ormos Vasilikò, Klima o la stessa baia di Peristera sono il paradiso della foca monaca (che in queste acque si riproduce) e delle capre kri kri.
7
7° DAY
Circa 16 miglia nautiche: Sazi di natura selvaggia ed incontaminata è tempo di riprendere a navigare. Ci divertiremo a veleggiare per un po’ di miglia e tra bordi e virate ci dirigiamo verso il caratteristico paese di Skopelos principale porto dell’omonima isola. Cittadina dalle case bianche e tetti rossi, Skopelos si estende intorno al castello medievale con le sue ampie vedute sul mare Egeo. Il paese ha tutto quello che serve per una sosta tranquilla, dalle taverne tipiche dove gustare piatti a base di prodotti e pesce freschissimo, ai piccoli caffè dove fermarsi per bere qualcosa, ai negozi di artigianato e golose pasticcerie. Passeggiando tra le stradine (rigorosamente senza nome) potremo giungere alla chiesa di S. Maria del Castello, dove 70 gradini ci separano da una vista mozzafiato sul mare. E per gli appassionati del film Mamma Mia, è possibile organizzare una gita in auto verso la suggestiva chiesa di Agios Ioannis Kastri, set del famoso musical interpretato da Marily Streep, che sorge su un alto scoglio circondato dal mare.
8
8° DAY
Circa 13 miglia nautiche: Tolti gli ormeggi, circumnavighiamo l’isola di Skopelos per giungere nella baia di STAFILOS dove i tuffi e lo snorkeling la faranno da padrone. Esiste anche un sentiero lungo la costa che in qualche minuto ci conduce alla vicina spiaggia di Velanio. Buon cibo, buon vino e il cielo stellato ci accompagneranno ancora una volta in questa ennesima notte in rada.
9
9° DAY
Circa 12 miglia nautiche: Fatta colazione, apriamo le vele e riprendiamo la circumnavigazione di Skopelos per giungere nella baia di PANORMOU. Indossate maschere e pinne ci prepariamo ad uno snorkeling tra i pesci che brillano sul fondo di sabbia chiaria. Il tempo scorre lento e piacevole e sarà bellissimo farsi sorprendere dai colori della sera seduti in pozzetto gustando un aperitivo in barca e magari scendendo in spiaggia per organizzare un barbecue ed un falò.
10
10 DAY
Circa 12 miglia nautiche: Fatta una buona colazione è tempo di fare gli ultimi tuffi in queste acque bellissime. Dirigiamo la prua verso Skiathos dove contiamo di arrivare il tarda mattinata. Sentiremo già la nostalgia del sole e del sale tra i capelli, di tramonti indimenticabili e delle baie più belle dell’Egeo. E’ tempo di saluti e di mettere dentro il bagaglio il ricordo di un’esperienza indimenticabile.
